When I moved away from the Lone Star State and relocated next door in coastal Louisiana, we missed out on the searing hell of the Summer of 2011 that brought a punishing period of consecutive 100+ degree days and dry, yellow, flammable vegetation to Texas.
This year, it sure seems we’re seeing a similar pattern.
As Mark Chesnutt said, it’s too hot to fish.
As Dwight Jr said, it’s too hot to breathe. 
And here we all are, of all ages, talking about the weather.
